Until I started to photograph in the desert areas, I never thought of the landscape being colorful. But it did not take long to realize that the desert is highly colorful; the variety of colors and shades of colors seem to be infinite. This has shown me that even in the places we consider most barren, there is beauty and variety. The rock formations on the left are part of the valley of white toadstools, standing majestically with their red caps lit by the sunlight, the one in the center of the picture has lost some of its red cap to the desert floor, and will now erode much faster then its companions.
