This is a reminder of the kind of store Great Grandma used to shop at is found in California. It is still in use today and serves the surrounding community. You can see one of the earliest Coke vending machines (the rust red box), which is left in place as a reminder of yesteryears drink dispensers. The original name of the village was Scodie, because William Scodie was the original owner. By 1889 it had a post office to provide mail services for the locals. It has a wide variety of old style candies, sodas and some of the tastiest home made snacks, it is also a treasure trove of unique and interesting gifts.
