With only one partial wall and the chimneybreast left, this old settler homes existence is truly extinguished, the remains of the last fire still rests in the hearth. Standing alone in the Arizona desert close to Yellowstone Mesa, it tells of the hard and lonely life many endured as they sought out a meager living in this dry location. Yet many years ago it stood as a symbol of the tenacity of the individuals who decided to make this their home.
