This log cabin is on the ranch site of one of the Butch Cassidy’s hideouts. Its location far from any trails and other dwellings made it a great place to hide from the law. Added to this was one side was protected by a river, which was difficult to cross, and the other side was only accessible by coming down a narrow canyon, which could easily be defended by one person, strategically placed. It now looks back on wilder times when it was a working ranch. And some of its ranch hands were colorful individuals.
