This rock structure is high in the desert and has been called the beehive. It stands along a trail at the eastern end of Zion National Park. Although dwarfed by the hills behind, it still stands high above the trees surrounding it; we can see other layers of the rock, which formed this one behind and to the right. A harder layer on the top of this has protected the rock beneath from the erosive effects, which have removed the other sections of this layer.
