Zions South West Face 14 x 10

This is a view looking towards the west entrance of Zion Canyon; we can see the road and river over 2,000 feet below. As with most of the canyon we can see a variety of different colors in the rocks, each face seems to have it’s own personality. At this elevation we can also see the flat tops of the canyon walls, which was the original ground level, before the river carved its way into the rocks and created this spectacular divide. The brightest green trees mark the course of the river as it winds its way along the canyon to eventually join the Colorado River.
