Flowing through a mountain, which during geological ages split in two sections; the Green River emerges as it makes its way down to the Colorado River. The path between the mountains is a scenic journey and can be navigated by canoe or raft. There are a number of operators who offer trips down the river and exit the river less than a quarter of a mile downstream from this location. The majority of the plant life exists along the banks, with some sparsely situated desert plants on the lower elevations.
