I was preparing to do some starlight photos, and had visited the location I had chose because it is remote enough that it qualifies as a Dark Site. As the sun was setting I saw the pink sand start to reflect a multitude of different colors and shades. The sand, which was directly lit, be the sun was a bright yellow, while in the shadows a whole range of purples, magentas and blue shades highlighted the shapes and textures of the landscape. I hurriedly took out my camera, as the scene was changing rapidly and within a few minutes would have been lost forever.
