As a tributary river feeding into the Colorado River, the Green River brings the pure snowmelt from the Rocky Mountains down through some of the most dramatic scenery in northern Utah. Because it is in high desert regions, the plants, animals and trees of the area congregate along its banks, as the only source of liquid refreshment. Overhung by massive rock cliffs in many locations, with each formation being totally different than the last one, the journey down the river is an exciting and amazing adventure.
