From this ledge above the Santa Clara River, we can see the valley below, with the different rock escarpments surrounding this location. The course of the river is marked by the line of trees which use the river a their main source of liquid. When we get just a short distance from the water, the fauna changes to desert plants, which are suited to this low rainfall area, and low nourishment from the soils.
