Carving Slot Canyons 28 x 20

This narrow slot canyon on Kanarra Creek is so narrow in places that you can easily touch both sides with outstretched arms. These canyons are carved in relatively short times each year, this is when the floods come down and scour the base of the canyon using the pounding power of moving rocks to do the work. In the canyon we can see water marks as high as 2 feet above the floor, showing the dramatic rise in water levels, which can occur.
