I was helped by a native local in understanding this glyph. As I was trying to work out what it represented, a quiet voice behind me said “rabbit”. The explanation helped me to see the work; the voice came from a person dressed in native clothes who lived in the area. He told me that it was often the custom to draw an image of an animal you were about to hunt for; this was to ensure a successful hunt. Where the results made the difference between having a meal or going hungry, I can see why they would make every effort to have a successful hunt.
